Privacy Policy

iTextwise does not require an account and does not ask for personal information to use the tool. To generate a result, the text you submit is sent over a secure (HTTPS) connection to a trusted third-party AI provider that processes it and returns the rewritten text. iTextwise does not store your text on its own servers or link it to you.

When you use an AI feature (such as Rewrite, Rephrase, Email Formalizer, Explain, Summarize, Grammar, Humanize or Translate), the text you submit is sent securely to our processing endpoint and on to a third-party AI provider (for example Google Gemini, with other providers used as fallback) solely to generate your result. We do not save that text or tie it to your identity. Each provider processes the request under its own privacy terms.

Some features — such as the Word Counter — run entirely inside your browser and send nothing anywhere.

To make the app convenient, some information is saved locally in your browser's storage (localStorage). This includes:

• Your recent rewrites, so you can revisit and restore them (your "history").
• Your light or dark theme preference and cookie choice.

This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and can be removed at any time by clearing your history in the app or clearing your browser's site data.

We do not require or create accounts, we do not sell your data, and we do not build an advertising profile about you ourselves. There is no login and no personal information requested to use the tool.

We use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand overall traffic. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not collect personal information.

iTextwise is kept free with ads. When advertising is enabled, our ad partner (Google AdSense) may use cookies to serve and measure ads. You are shown a cookie banner where you can accept all cookies or choose only the necessary ones; ad cookies are loaded only if you accept. iTextwise is a general-purpose writing tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
